Privacy Policy

NexaCargo is committed to protecting your personal data and respecting your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the rights you hold under European law.

Last updated: 8 June 2026

Who we are

NexaCargo is a technology-driven logistics company headquartered in Lisbon, Portugal, providing last-mile delivery, warehousing & distribution, and fulfilment & returns across Europe. For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), NexaCargo acts as the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

Data we collect

We collect only the data we need to provide and improve our services:

  • Contact details you provide through our forms — name, company, email address, phone number, and the content of your message.
  • Shipment data such as tracking numbers, delivery addresses, and order references needed to fulfil and track deliveries.
  • Recruitment data you submit when applying for a role, including your CV and professional history.
  • Technical data such as IP address, browser type, and usage information collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies.

How we use your data

We process your personal data to:

  • Deliver, track, and manage logistics and fulfilment services.
  • Respond to enquiries, quote requests, and support tickets.
  • Assess job applications and manage recruitment.
  • Maintain the security, performance, and reliability of our website.
  • Meet legal, tax, and customs obligations.

Our legal bases for processing include the performance of a contract, our legitimate business interests, your consent (for example, for non-essential cookies), and compliance with legal obligations.

Sharing and international transfers

We share data only with trusted partners who help us deliver our services — such as carriers, warehousing partners, payment providers, and IT vendors — under contractual confidentiality obligations. Where data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

Data retention

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described above or as required by law. Contact and shipment records are typically retained for the duration of our business relationship and a reasonable period thereafter; recruitment data is retained for up to 12 months unless you ask us to remove it sooner.

Your rights under the GDPR

If you are in the EU, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Request erasure of your data ("right to be forgotten").
  • Restrict or object to certain processing.
  • Request data portability.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.
  • Lodge a complaint with the Portuguese supervisory authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD).
